81 Hour NY State Security & Fire Alarm License Preparation Course (Online Only)

Hours: Mondays & Wednesdays 6:00pm – 10:00pm
In this course, students will learn about: the installations: standards, codes and techniques; control panels and alarm transmissions; security systems; and fire technology. The course helps prepare the student for the Security or Fire Alarms System Installer Exam. Per NYS, individuals with a criminal background may be ineligible to obtain a NYS Security & Fire Alarm Installer License. Inquire with NYS Dept. of State Division of Licensing for additional information.
ATTENTION PROSPECTIVE SECURITY AND FIRE ALARM LICENSE CANDIDATES
The State of New York requires you to complete and pass an
81 Hour course of training in order to obtain your NYS License.
This course consists of 5 Modules:
Module 1: Installations
Module 2: Controls & Alarm Transmission
Module 3: Security Systems
Module 4: Fire Technology
Module 5: Testing & Maintenance.

- In addition, you must also successfully pass the New York State License Exam given throughout the year at various State testing locations. This course will fulfill the 81 Hour training requirement and help you prepare to take the NY State Exam.
- Currently we offer this class 4 times a year.

- A laptop is required for this class.
6016-NICET Level 1 & 2 Preparation Course – 30 Hours
This course is for individuals who are preparing for certification testing as a Fire Alarm Technician by NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies).
TOPICS:
Fire Alarm is a highly specialized field and provides constant challenge to designers, installers and maintenance personnel.
This course will help take away the mystery of code requirements and prepare you for NICET Level 1 & 2 Test
A flash drive containing applicable hand outs and a copy of NFPA 72, National Fire Alarm Code, are included.
