The HVAC Course is a comprehensive HVACR training program for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration installers and technicians. Topics covered include: Common aspects of HVAC/R, Basic electrical theory, common control components, HVAC comfort parameters, refrigeration components, concept of combustion at a fundamental level, combustion basics for natural gas and propane fuels, terminology of heating and power boilers, and reverse-cycle air source heat pumps. This program provides EPA certification 608.
The day begins with electrical theory, which the students then apply in practice. The classroom is designed with individual stations for the use of each student to demonstrate the lesson of the day. In addition to classroom hands-on training, the school has partnered with Habitat For Humanity & United Way to provide on-site hands-on training.
