The curriculum for this program consists of the fundamental knowledge of theory and practical application for residential and commercial electrical systems. Students learn Ohms Law, power, lighting, National 2008 Code, OSHA regulations, as well as hands-on troubleshooting, pipe bending, service work and many other specific aspects of the electrical industry. All students have work experience roughing homes through our partnerships with Suffolk County Habitat for Humanity and United Way . These students will have completed the first 300 hrs of their program and their five specialty courses, Voice and Data, Solar, Meter Testing, 48 Security and Fire Alarm, and Gas and Oil.
The students are available on Monday's, Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s, Thursday’s and Friday's to do their internship hours. Please call the school if you like more information. Call (631) 226-8021
