Where is Electrical Training Center, Inc located?

Mailing address is 65 Elm Street, Copiague, NY 11726.

Located on the south shore of Long Island in Suffolk County approximately 38 miles East of Manhattan.

 

Is the school near public transportation?

We are located 0.3 miles (5 minutes walking distance) West of the LIRR Copiague station. The Copiague train station is along the Penn Station to Babylon line.

The Nassau County NICE Bus #19 stops at the corner of Great Neck Road & Montauk Hwy approximately 1.3 miles south of our location.

The Suffolk County Bus #33, #31, #1A, stop at the corner of Great Neck Road & Straight Path (Dixon Ave) approximately 0.6 miles Northeast of our location. The Suffolk County Bus#35, #20 stop at the Copiague Train Station 0.3 miles West of our location.

 

What are the school office hours and class hours?

Classes are held between the hours of 8:00 AM to 10:20 PM, Monday through Friday, and from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. Administration office hours are Monday –Thursday 8:00am-7:00pm and Fridays 8:00am-3:00pm.

 

Does the Electrical Training Center, Inc provide tours of the school?

We welcome visitors to contact our office at least 24 hours in advance to schedule a tour of our facilities.

All prospective students enrolling in any of the Programs 100 hours or more must schedule an orientation with Admissions that will provide a tour of the facility and a personal interview with the Director of Admissions.

 Appointments for tours are normally scheduled Mondays through Thursdays at specific times. Walk-ins are accepted during Administrative hours but we strongly advise applicants to schedule an appointment at least three business days prior to your date requested to be certain there is a counselor on staff and available at the time you visit to provide you a tour.

 

Tours are not provided on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, or observed holidays.  In the event of inclement weather on the day you have scheduled a tour, please contact the school to be certain the school is open or check the homepage of our website for inclement weather report. 

 

Is the school licensed?

The Electrical Training Center, Inc is licensed by the NYS Department of Education, Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision. All instructors are licensed by NYS Dept. of Education, and all curriculums are approved by NYS Dept. of Education.

 

Is the school accredited?

Electrical Training Center, Inc is accredited by Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET). Visit www.accet.org for information regarding this agency.

 

Does the school offer payment plans?

All programs and courses have payment plans available. All seminars must be paid in full on the first day of class.

 

Does the school offer Financial Aid services?

Yes we do.

 

Does Electrical Training Center, Inc sponsor student visas or offer services for foreign students?

Per NYS Dept. of Education policy, all enrolled students must provide a valid Social Security number. Due to this policy, the Electrical Training Center, Inc does not sponsor student visas or offer services for foreign students.

 

Does the school offer job placement assistance?

The Electrical Training Center provides placement assistance to all graduates of programs 100 hours or more, who are in good standing, and shall meet criteria such as a valid Driver License and reliable transportation to and from employment. The school cannot and does not promise or guarantee employment upon graduation. Students must sign a waiver indicating their understanding of these terms.
