My name is Lisa Ferrara.  I am married to Salvatore Ferrara.  Sal and I became part of the Electrical Training Center in 2003.  I am a mother of two children, Danielle and Salvatore, which is my proudest accomplishment in my life.

Before becoming a wife and mom, I graduated high school and went directly to work.  I worked for 2 law firms as an assistant para-legal.   I did EBT’s and Dictaphone work.  Took a lot of shorthand and researched cases for the attorney’s I worked for.  I truly loved working in these law firms.

I got married in 1987 and in 1989 had my first child.  I decided to be a stay at home mom at that point.  Had my second child in 1991.

In 1996 bought a house in Long Island.  Started working again.  Babysat for a little girl until she started kindergarten.

Started working in Hauppauge Middle School in the Administrative area.

My husband Sal partnered with Scott Cohen for the Electrical Training Center.  I was asked to help with administrative duties.  I left my job at Hauppauge Middle School and became part of the Electrical Training Center.

My position deals mainly with the receipt and expenditure of the company’s funds, cash receipts, cash disbursements and reconciliations.  I am the liaison with the outside accountant and auditors.

I manage the office with the Director, Assistant Director and the Bursar if not present.
